Who I am

This website and its coaching services are run by Merrdawg, an independent Apex Legends creator and coach based in Pennsylvania, USA. In this policy, “I”, “me”, and “Merrdawg” mean the person running this site.

The short version

• I collect information you give me, information collected automatically when you visit, and recordings of coaching sessions.
• I use analytics to understand how people find and use this site.
• Coaching sessions are recorded, and clips may be shared on my social media, as explained in the Terms of service.
• I never sell or rent your personal information, and I never share it with advertisers or data brokers.
• Card payments are handled by Stripe. I never see or store your full card number.

What I collect

The information I collect includes, but isn’t limited to, the following.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this site and the services that run it automatically collect technical and usage information when you visit, such as:

• Your IP address and the approximate location it suggests (such as your country, region, or city)
• Your browser, device type, operating system, and screen size
• The pages you visit, when you visit, how long you stay, and the links you click
• The website or link that brought you here
• Standard server and security logs

I use this as visitor statistics and analytics. I don’t use it to build a personal profile of you or to sell to anyone.

Information you give me. When you book a session or contact me, you may give me:

• Your name and email address
• Your gamer tag (EA ID), Discord username, platform, and rank
• What you want to work on, your VOD links, and any messages you send
• Payment details, which you enter directly with Stripe (I receive a payment confirmation, not your card number)

Coaching session recordings. Every coaching session is recorded. Recordings can include your voice, gameplay, screen share, gamer tag, Discord username, and anything said or shown during the call.

Information from services I use. The services listed below may share information with me, such as booking details from Cal.com, payment confirmations from Stripe, and your Discord profile when we connect there.

How I use it

• To run, maintain, and secure this site
• To understand how visitors find and use the site, and to improve it
• To review, confirm, and schedule your booking, and to run your session
• To contact you about your session (confirmations, changes, and questions)
• To process payments and refunds
• To create coaching, educational, and social media content from session recordings and gameplay, as described in the Terms of service
• To prevent fraud and abuse, keep records for taxes and accounting, and comply with the law

I don’t send marketing emails without your permission.

Analytics, cookies, and similar technologies

I use analytics to see how this site is used, such as how many people visit, which pages they view, and where visitors come from. I have the right to view and use any analytics and visitor statistics that this site, my hosting provider, or the services I use make available to me.

This site, my hosting and analytics providers, and the features built into the site (such as the booking calendar, payment pages, and video players) may use cookies, local storage, server logs, pixels, and similar technologies. They use them to make features work, keep things secure, remember preferences, and measure how the site is used. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, but some parts of the site may not work properly if you do.

Do Not Track: there’s no common standard for Do Not Track browser signals, so this site doesn’t currently respond to them. I don’t allow advertising networks to track you through this site. The services listed below may collect information about your use of their features, including over time and across other websites, under their own privacy policies.

Some features use third-party services. They handle your information under their own privacy policies:

• Cal.com: the booking calendar, booking form, and booking emails (cal.com/privacy)
• Stripe: card payments and refunds (stripe.com/privacy)
• Discord: messages and coaching calls (discord.com/privacy)
• YouTube: video players (policies.google.com/privacy)
• Google: my calendar and email, where booking details are kept (policies.google.com/privacy)
• Cloudflare: website hosting, security, and visitor analytics (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy)
• Social media platforms where I publish content, such as YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Instagram, and X

Selling and sharing

I never sell or rent your personal information, and I never share it with advertisers, ad networks, or data brokers. I only share information:

• With the service providers above, so they can run the site, bookings, payments, analytics, and calls for me
• When you’ve agreed to it, including session recordings and clips I publish as described in the Terms of service
• When the law requires it, or when it’s needed to protect my rights, my safety, or the safety of others

Content I publish on social media is public, so anyone can view and share it once it’s posted.

How long I keep it

I keep information for as long as I need it for the purposes in this policy, including running the site, providing coaching, creating content from session recordings, and meeting tax, legal, and accounting requirements. Analytics data is kept according to my hosting and analytics providers’ settings. Content I’ve published may stay online.

Your choices

You can ask me to:

• Tell you what personal information I have about you
• Correct it
• Delete it

Email merrdawg.business@gmail.com or message me on Discord (merrdawg). I’ll respond within 30 days. I may keep information I’m required to keep by law, and session recordings and content I’m allowed to use under the Terms of service. Depending on where you live, you may have extra rights under your state’s privacy laws, and I’ll honor those requests as the law requires.

Security

I use reputable providers for booking, payments, analytics, and communication, and I keep my accounts secured. I’ll never ask for your game account password. No system is perfectly secure, so I can’t guarantee the security of your information, but I work to protect it and will notify you as the law requires if a breach affects it.

Children

This site isn’t meant for children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect their information. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to the Terms of service, including session recording, and make the booking. If you believe a child under 13 has given me information, contact me and I’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If I change this policy, I’ll update this page and the date at the top. Important changes will be clearly noted.
