WHAT TO DO NOW
Your checklist.
- 01
Watch your email.
Your booking is a request until I approve it. You’ll get a confirmation email with a calendar invite once it’s approved. If I can’t take that time, you’ll get an email and a full refund.
- 02
Join The Dawg House on Discord. (opens in new tab)
Discord is a free app for voice chat and messages. It’s where we talk and where your session happens. Never used it? Setup takes about five minutes.
- Download Discord on your PC or phone, or open it in your web browser at discord.com.
- Make a free account. Use the same username you put in the booking form.
- Click “Join The Dawg House on Discord” above to join my server (there’s also a button further down this page).
- Add me as a friend so you can message me directly: merrdawg.
- Look for the Coaching Call voice channel in the channel list. That’s where we’ll meet.
- Check your mic: open User Settings, then Voice & Video, and use the mic test.
- 03
Record your VODs.
A VOD is a recording of your gameplay. Watching your real games shows me how you actually play, so the better your recordings, the more you get out of your session. Here’s what I need to see:
- At least 2–3 recordings, so one bad or unusual game doesn’t decide everything.
- Whole fights: start 1 to 1½ minutes before the fight begins and keep going until it’s completely over. Include as many fights as you have.
- Even better, whole matches from the drop to the end, so I can see where you chose to land, how you looted, which guns you picked up, and how you moved into each position.
- Your teammates: keep game audio and voice comms on, so I can see how you play with your team.
- Real games: ranked, at your normal rank, on your main account, where you were trying to win. Pubs, smurf accounts, or messing-around games don’t show how you really play.
- Don’t cut out the slow parts. The quiet moments between fights matter too.
- 04
Send your VODs.
Upload each recording and DM me the links on Discord before your session. If you can’t, bring them to the call.
- YouTube is easiest: upload the video and set Visibility to Unlisted, so only people with the link can see it.
- Add me on Discord (merrdawg) and send each link to me as a direct message.
- Don’t set videos to Private, or I won’t be able to open them.
- 05
Live gameplay? Test your stream.
For live gameplay, you share your game with me in a private Discord call so I can watch and coach as you play. Nobody else can see it.
- On PC: join the Coaching Call voice channel and use Discord’s screen share (Go Live) button to share your game.
- On console: check whether your console can stream to a Discord call. If not, a capture card with a PC works, or choose a VOD review instead.
- Do a quick test with a friend before the session so we don’t lose time setting up.
- 06
At session time, join Coaching Call.
Wait in the Coaching Call voice channel in The Dawg House with your mic working. If you can’t get in, join any voice channel and I’ll move you over.
- 07
Questions or changes?
Add me on Discord (merrdawg) and message me anytime. To reschedule or cancel, use the links in your confirmation email. Cancel at least 1 day before for a full refund.

Before your session.
What’s a VOD?
VOD stands for video on demand. In gaming it just means a recording of your gameplay that someone can watch back. You record your matches, upload them, and send me the links.
How do I record my games?
On PC, the free app OBS Studio or your graphics card’s app (NVIDIA or AMD) can record full matches. On PlayStation or Xbox, use your controller’s Create or Share button to record, or stream your matches to Twitch or YouTube and send me the saved stream. Console clips can be short, so check how long your recordings are before you play.
How do I upload a video to YouTube as Unlisted?
On YouTube, choose Create, then Upload video, and pick your recording. When it asks about Visibility, choose Unlisted. Then copy the link and DM it to me on Discord (merrdawg). Unlisted means only people with the link can watch. Private videos won’t open for me.
Do I have to send a VOD?
It’s not required, but it helps a lot. For a VOD review, your recordings are what we work on. If you don’t have them ready, bring what you have to the call.
What if my request isn’t approved?
You’ll get an email letting you know, and your payment is refunded.
How do I cancel or reschedule?
Use the links in your confirmation email. Cancel at least 1 day before your session for a full refund. Later cancellations and missed sessions aren’t refunded. Full details are in the Terms of service, linked at the bottom of every page.
